This fall, the Elan Credit Card team assembled in Minneapolis for an all-team meeting and took time to also volunteer with the Greater Twin Cities United Way. Staff supported the organization by packing 80 kitchen and 40 office supply kits and creating 30 blankets.

Greater Twin Cities United Way Director of Corporate Partnerships, Lataya Allseits, shared “Our Home For Good initiative is critical to helping families smoothly transition from homelessness into stable housing. When families first attain stable housing, they finally have a safe place to call home but lack the ability to purchase essential items like kitchen utensils, hygiene necessities, blankets, and more.”

“Our corporate partners, like Elan Credit Card, are key contributors to helping us prepare 700 ‘Welcome Home Bins’ with 100+ household essential items to give these families a warm welcome home. We’re so grateful for Elan’s time and investment in our household stability work,” added Allseits.

The home kits assembled by the Elan Credit Card team included basic supplies like a can opener and tongs for the kitchen, and pens and scissors for the office. These kits will be added to the larger box for each household that also include cleaning, hygiene, baking, and dishwashing kits. Each box is topped with a new, colorful tie blanket.
